It was very cold, and a very busy night for Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. There was a very long queue to get into the park and since there were so many visitors to the Christmas themed event, they were letting big groups of people inside in stages at a time. I was excited to get to see everything, and in my mind, it was just going to be a small little park event… But in actuality it was quite big.
There were so many shops and little souvenir stops and places to buy hot drinks and sweets. I bought some hot chocolate which was very good.
There was also much alcohol to be purchased as well… Which I did not partake in that night.
All of the little arrangements that were being sold were quite fascinating and beautiful. I enjoyed just looking around at everything, sipping on my hot chocolate and listening to all the people talking over one and other, the music and all of the festivities going on.
The ice skating rink looked very large as well. I would’ve had a go at it, but I have never been very good at skating so I left that for everyone else to do… Maybe next time I will find the courage to try it! 😀
I could not believe how massive Winter Wonderland actually was! It was far bigger than I expected! There were many places to win awesome prizes, the skating rink, thrill rides, a Ferris Wheel, a few Merry-Go-Rounds and a small roller coaster as well!
There were so many couples, families and friends everywhere that it made it difficult to just simply walk around, one had to squeeze around people to get passed them. It was really fun and I am glad I went! I will definitely be going again before I leave!
I hope you enjoyed this post, and for those of you who are in London and who haven’t been to Winter Wonderland yet, I recommend going! It is truly amazing and there is so much to see and do.
